18 days later, my post is still flower-inspired. Chewing what’s left of my Trolli packs, I realize my inept skill in blogging shows no progress although I push myself to the imaginary dreamland more often than not. I ran out of excuses for the prolonged recess however I want to thank all of you for still dropping by every now and then. Really. Those stats mean so much to me! *BIG SMILE*

While I can say that all of you are having the time of your life doing all sorts of musing that pleases you, I was slouching on my desk hoping to win some bids and make everyone happy for the past days. Apart from being a fulltime employee since the last week of September (not that I haven’t been one, ehem), I was busy, very busy reading books referred by my friend. Bookworm meets Officegeek equals no social life. HMF!

If you’re wondering, I still manage to dress up though I don’t have time to take pictures of it. *sob* It’s the only thing that pushes me to get up early in the morning. Last Friday I was able to squeeze a little pictorial because I was up extra early. TADA! I know I’ve worn too many flowers already but I still can’t get enough of it. I love being dainty SOOOO MUCH!

Havoc: Not Your Ordinary Fun Run

Today seems a great time to reunite with my blog. Hello Kimi! I’ve missed you. I have to tell you though, that I haven’t been inspired for the past days because our puppy died. In. My. Bare. Hands. Yeah, this naïvety should stop but I can’t help it. I am too attached and vulnerable. I saw it gave its last breath even though I unwarily thought it was just yawning. Heartbreaking!

Wiping my tears away let me tell you that my high school batch mates and I are preparing a fund-racing program to support our 5th year celebration as alumni of Stella Maris Academy of Davao (SMAD). We decided to host a zombie fun run in line with the celebration of Halloween next month. The theme is “Havoc: Not Your Ordinary Fun Run”. Another heartbreaking news! I can’t believe it’s been 5 years already. How time flies so fast. Hmmm. I’m still fragile, let’s not go into deeper details on our closeness and blaahhhhh…..

Havoc means destruction, chaos, mayhem, disorder and a lot more DAMAGE. So to speak, this event will not only scare but also DESTROY you if you do not RUN. Zombies will come devour your lifeline, which in this case will only be three if they catch you. Everyone then is encouraged, no I mean, mandated to RUN FOR THEIR LIVES!

As part of advertising the coming Havoc, we’ve made a video to give you a glimpse of what will happen on the event proper. My friend Kissa and I agreed to play the role of the participant. Well, actually only I did the actual runner role. This was the first time I saw myself run and I find it funny the way I run. Watch and laugh. Oh no scratch that. WATCH AND RUN!!!

Tips on how to get a better view:
1. Turn off the lights
2. Sit in front of the screen and look closely. DO NOT BLINK!
3. Make sure the volume is at its peak
4. Click play
5. Share it with friends and SAVE THE DATE!

Who Would’ve Thought

This skirt is from one of my sisters shopping about a couple of years ago in the states. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have a tag. The top on the other hand is from the famous Bangkok night market. It’s a bargain I got for 50baht. That’s like only 75pesos in our currency! Woot woot! The metallic tone easily pairs up with the design of my skirt. Easy but steady, yeah?

I Got Lucky

Hello there! I had a very hectic week and all the busyness fenced me sartorially. I was hoping to compensate my absence through social networking but no. I was on the outs even on Instagram, Pose, Path and Twitter. Facebook doesn’t really count because busy or not busy, I’m not updating it everyday. There are just so many things to read, like and share on FB that it takes so much of my time. Haha! Anyway, what have you been up to? What did I miss? Enlighten me!

I kicked off an early weekend. This was my Friday OOTD, by the way. I love Fridays because first, it’s my official Pilates day and second, Friday usually finishes so fast, like a shortened day. That is to say I spend less time in the office on Fridays and for that I can wear clothes that don’t really need to comply with certain codes like shorts for instance.

This shorts reminds me of my Bangkok trip last June. I fell in love with the threading and the design but wasn’t able to buy it because it costs way too much than what I expected. I couldn’t get myself to buy something that costs more than my estimate in mind. That’s actually how I control shopping; if I think it costs more than what’s written on the tag, I get it but if it’s the other way around, no thank you (in my mind: it’s not meant for me). So how then did I win this cutesy here? Easy. Last month, online store Stylista, Inc. stocked up on this. Next thing you know, it was MINE. Hahaha!!!

Product Review: Jason Pure Natural Super-C Toner

Key Ingredient: Ester- C / Vitamin C
• Helps body produce collagen which makes skin soft and supple so skin is visibly brighter and healthier;
• Anti oxidant to protect skin from harmful effects of sun exposure- UVA/ UVB
• Boosts efficacy of sunscreen!
Minutiae: The main component of Ester- C is calcium ascorbate while regular Vitamin C is ascorbic acid. Ester- C is preferable than Vitamin C because it is non-acidic and has additional nutrients which makes it be absorbed more quickly by the body (skin) marking numerous health benefits.

Review: This one here is actually my second bottle. Over the months of using it, my skin is more balanced and toned. It is less oily (although the product is not specifically for oily skin, rather general skin type). I use it daily, morning and night after cleansing. I believe it is very gentle and beneficial because it is 100% organic (NO Parabens, Phthalates or Sodium Lauryl / Laureth Sulfates) and I can see effects although I did not avail the whole product line-cleanser, lotion and crème. I use it with the Pure Natural Hyper-C Serum instead (review coming soon).

Super-C Toner makes my skin soft, radiant and supple. It does not over dry nor does it sting when applied. Once you smell it, you can already imagine how much Ester- C it has, which by all means implies how protective and effective it is.

Feeling the bright blue sky with my lazy blue top. I find myself attracted to this shade nowadays, aside from powder blue. You see I’m a pink person (never been attracted to blue!!!) so wearing blue is something I never thought I would love. Add to that, I noticed how I magnetize with printed clothes too. The floral prints of my shorts release light and happy vibes. It gives me a jumpy feeling! I love it!

Half A Century After

Half a century after, my dad is still my dad and he’s still the best man ever.

Thursday last week, we celebrated my dad’s 50th birthday. My siblings and I have been busy preparing for this surprise party for a month. We kept it from our mom too! Things got a lot more nerve-wracking when the moment finally came. Luckily, all our expected guests made it and we (my sister, brother and I) can’t thank them enough for holding on to our little secret even after we’ve sent out the invitations. With the surprise, band and stand-up comedians, sure enough everyone, most especially my dad had a BLAST! Let me talk more about this event when I’ve compiled the official photos from the event already. I’ve been busy entertaining guests and doing all that party organizer stuff to be taking pictures. Pfffft.

Like a typical Chinese, everyone younger than the celebrant wore red. Red conveys good luck, success and prosperity. Because I’m dad’s little princess, I made sure to give him my best wishes too!

Chances are you’ve seen me in this pair of leggings already. Aaaand you’re actually right! I can’t resist wearing it. The gold zipper, the pleats.. uhhhh I’m smitten! I was already in line at the cashier in H&M, Hongkong when I had a glimpse of this legging in the kid’s section. I asked my sister to check on it and she brought me two sizes. I took the 12-13y one and without second thoughts, included it in my shopping. This legging made me feel complete! I’m serious!
